Job summary

The trainer will manage the desk as needed, assist in route databases, and support foreign permits and slot coordination. Strong leadership, attention to detail, and aviation operations knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent knowledge of world geography and permit clearance issues.
• Experience in a flight dispatch center preferred.
• FAA Dispatcher’s license desirable, but not required.
• Supervisory experience desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Training program for International Flight Clearance Coordinators and Ops Assistants.
• Maintaining training records and conducting quality assurance audits.
• Manning the International Flight Clearance Coordinator desk when staffing dictates.
• Ensuring the accuracy and validity of permit information.
• Maintaining a Handbook for the International Flight Clearance Coordinator and Operations Assistant positions.
• Assisting in maintaining route databases and instructions for saved routes.
• Assisting in requesting and maintaining Foreign Operating Permits, Seasonal approvals and slot databases.
• Assisting in maintaining the flow of information to and from the flight following department.
• Other duties as assigned as duties may change.
