Job Title: International Flight Clearance Trainer
Department: International Flight Clearance
Reports To: Manager, International Flight Clearance
The International Flight Clearance Trainer is responsible for supervising and training the International Flight Clearance Coordinators at the direction of the Manager of International Flight Clearance.
The International Flight ClearanceTrainer is responsible for supervision of both the International Flight Clearance Coordinators and Operations Assistants, the quality of their work, and the implementation of training at the direction of the Manager of International Flight Clearance.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High school graduate; some college and/or technical school desirable. Must have excellent professional knowledge of world geography, civilian and diplomatic permit clearance issues, and flight operations. Experience in a flight dispatch center is preferred. Attention to detail, analytical thinking, multi-tasking and stress management skills required. Must have ability to work well with others in a supervisory capacity. Must have extensive experience as a permit coordinator or equivalent. Supervisory experience desirable, but not required. FAA Dispatcher’s license desirable, but not required.
Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to convert between different units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
