Job summary

Wayve is seeking a Fleet Operations Training Lead to drive training strategy and execution across the US and Japan. You will develop scalable programs, partnering with Safety, Engineering, People, and other teams to ensure safety and operational readiness.

The role requires translating complex concepts into practical learning experiences and establishing consistent standards while localising content for regional needs.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing comprehensive training programs for fleet operations, including needs analysis, instructional design, delivery and evaluation.
• Demonstrated leadership in a fast-moving, safety-focused environment.
• Experience supporting training across multiple locations, regions, or culturally diverse teams.
• Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with ability to simplify complex technical information.
• Proven ability to create structured learning paths, competency frameworks, and certifications.
• Strong analytical skills to identify capability gaps and measure training impact.
• Stakeholder management and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Effective time management and prioritisation in dynamic settings.
• Ability to operate across US and Japan time zones and travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive training strategy and roadmap for Fleet Operations in the US and Japan.
• Design, implement, and update onboarding, technical, safety, compliance, and professional development programs.
• Assess skills, identify capability gaps, and prioritise training requirements.
• Deliver instructor-led, virtual, practical, and blended learning experiences for diverse knowledge levels.
• Establish standards while adapting content to local languages, cultures, and regulations.
• Create structured learning paths, assessments, and certification programs.
• Define metrics for participation, knowledge retention, and time to competency.
• Use data and feedback to continually improve training content and outcomes.
• Lead train-the-trainer initiatives and support local trainers.
• Manage learning systems and records to ensure scalability and accuracy.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align training with technology and business priorities.
• Support deployment of new technologies and processes through training and change-readiness activities.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
