Coherent Corp. in Saxonburg, PA seeks a seasoned Finance/Accounting executive to lead the global finance team and drive strategic financial direction.

You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, close processes, and performance metrics across BUs, ensuring GAAP compliance and strong internal controls. Responsibilities include evaluating ROI, managing ERP initiatives, and partnering with BU leaders and corporate to optimize cashflow, cost control, and profitability in a dynamic, matrix-driven

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or Economics.
• 20 years in management with progressive responsibility in high-tech finance.
• Experience with multi-BU, multi-product P&Ls, balance sheet oversight and cashflow.
• Superior knowledge of cost accounting and standard costing.
• Global mindset and matrix-organization experience.

Responsibilities

• Set and communicate financial objectives while leading a staff of Finance/Accounting professionals.
• Oversee annual budget, forecasts and weekly updates including revenue, cost, gross margin, operating expense, capex, inventory and cashflow.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of the accounting close cycle for divisions, BU and BG reporting.
• Develop and implement performance metrics to optimize short-, medium- and long-term financial outcomes.
• Focus on profitable growth through financial modeling, ROI analyses and operating KPIs.
• Present business performance to executives to influence outcomes.
• Review and approve contracts for financial terms; monitor post contract performance.
• Collaborate with Corporate on technical accounting before quarter-end close.
• Coach team for recurring and ad-hoc analyses and ROI.
• Develop partnerships with BU leaders and corporate stakeholders.
• Maintain internal controls and GAAP/IAS compliance; support ERP implementation.
