Job summary

AMETEK Inc. is seeking a Director of Finance, Business Controller to lead the global finance and accounting function for the Advanced Measurement Technologies unit located in Oak Ridge, TN. You will own month-end close, controls, forecasting, budgeting, and business performance reporting across multiple sites.

The role requires a strong track record in controllership, P&L management, and cross-functional partnerships with R&D, manufacturing, and sales to drive profitable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
• Approximately 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience with leadership.
• Experience leading direct reports across finance and accounting.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, SOX, and revenue recognition.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance and accounting across a global, multi-site business.
• Own month-end close, reporting, reconciliations, and management reporting.
• Maintain strong controls and ensure SOX compliance and GAAP adherence.
• Lead forecasts, annual budget, and long-range planning activities.
• Analyze revenue, EBITDA, margins, costs, and working capital.
• Partner with R&D, manufacturing, operations, and sales for profitability.
• Support global locations in resolving financial and control matters.
• Ensure ERP and reporting systems meet current and future needs.
• Drive process improvements and actionable financial insight.
