Job summary

Saildrone in Alameda, CA is seeking a Vehicle Assembly & Service Technician to join our global Vehicle Assembly and Service team. Reporting to the Vehicle Operations Manager, you will lead assembly and service workflows, collaborate with engineering, operations, and production, and engage with clients worldwide to ensure mission-ready drones.

You will apply advanced mechanical and electrical skills in demanding field environments, mentor contractors and customers, and travel as needed to deploy,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience applying electrical and mechanical skills in a technical service role in a field/industrial environment.
• Ability to lead teams including contractors to execute operational plans and teach end-users.
• Strong organizational habits and commitment to safety, processes, and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Lead the fleet assembly and service workflows to maximize uptime.
• Apply mechanical and electrical skills to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment in challenging environments.
• Travel domestically and internationaly to deploy, recover, and repair Saildrone vehicles.
• Train contractors, clients, and other third parties on assembly and servicing procedures.
• Represent Saildrone professionally with clients and colleagues.
• Continuously improve workflows to increase safety, consistency, and efficiency.
