Job summary

Syntax Talent Solutions seeks a Field Technician to install, commission, and troubleshoot PLC-based machinery at customer facilities worldwide. This direct hire role offers significant autonomy, extensive travel, and the opportunity to be the face of a respected industrial equipment provider on-site.

You will read electrical schematics, diagnose control-system issues, perform on-site testing, and document activities for customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of electrical disciplines and installation procedures.
• Ability to read complex electrical schematics and drawings.
• Experience with PLC-based machines and fault finding in the field.
• Strong communication and on-site collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and start up PLC-based machinery at customer sites.
• Read and apply electrical schematics, diagrams, and drawings.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot control system issues on-site.
• Perform on-site testing, calibration, and verification for performance.
• Coordinate with customers and document service activities clearly.
• Contribute feedback to engineering teams for continuous improvement.
