Job summary

Sterling Engineering in Houston, TX is seeking a Field Services Supervisor to lead a team of field engineers and oversee commissioning, service, and field engineering projects. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure safe, efficient project execution.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and experience managing field service teams, with strong troubleshooting, communication, and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Experience leading engineering, field service, or technical teams.
• Experience with electrical systems, automation, or industrial technology.
• Strong project management skills with budgeting and scheduling.
• Willingness to travel ~50% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of Field Engineers, including remotely located team members.
• Oversee commissioning, field service, and engineering projects from planning through completion.
• Manage field resources, schedules, project performance, and customer expectations.
• Provide technical guidance for electrical and automation systems.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams to ensure project success.
• Monitor project costs, schedules, and financial results.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex field engineering issues.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in field service processes.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and satisfaction.
• Support development and training of field personnel.
• Travel 50% domestically and internationally as needed.
