Job summary

NES Fircroft seeks a hands-on Service Engineer to join its U.S. team. You will install, startup, service, and repair precision industrial machinery, diagnosing mechanical and hydraulic issues and supporting customers across the U.S. and beyond.

The role requires strong mechanical troubleshooting, experience with hydraulics, and the ability to read mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical drawings. Expect extensive travel and a focus on field-based problem solving.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years servicing industrial machinery or a relevant technical degree.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and hands-on repair experience.
• Experience with hydraulics, drives, alignment, lubrication, rotating equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical drawings.
• Understand how mechanical and electrical systems interact in industrial equipment.
• Excellent customer-facing communication and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated; able to work independently in the field.
• Willing to travel 80–90% (domestic and international).

Responsibilities

• Install, startup, service, maintain, and repair precision industrial machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical systems including gears, belts, pulleys, pistons, rams, lubrication systems, bearings, and alignment.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems using hydraulic schematics.
• Perform machine setup, calibration, testing, and operational checks.
• Support the startup and debug of newly manufactured and rebuilt machines.
• Identify mechanical faults and determine the best repair solution to minimize downtime.
• Support electrical troubleshooting involving motors, sensors, switches, and components.
• Collaborate with customers to resolve equipment issues and provide technical support.
