Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a highly motivated Material Supply Chain Manager to own the strategy for connectivity and fiber materials, negotiate with suppliers, and secure supply across regions.

You’ll drive demand forecasting, supplier qualification, and contract terms while partnering with legal, finance, and engineering to hit tight build schedules. You will influence cross-functional teams, manage risk, pursue cost reductions, and mentor teammates as we scale a high-capacity fiber

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement or vendor management.
• Experience building demand forecasts and deployment plans.
• Experience negotiating supply agreements and managing supplier performance.
• Experience defining and executing a category strategy across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the supply chain strategy for a defined connectivity and fiber material category and carry the commercial relationship with suppliers.
• Build the demand forecast and supply plan to keep programs on schedule across regions.
• Define strategy and execute it within broader guidance.
• Originate and negotiate new contract structures, pricing, capacity, and terms with suppliers.
• Partner with legal and finance to set guardrails and assess terms independently.
• Lead the qualification of new suppliers and materials with engineering.
• Identify supply risks early, build mitigation plans, and report category health to senior leaders.
