Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Seattle is seeking a highly experienced Material Supply Chain Manager to own and scale the connectivity and fiber material supply behind our global network.

You will define sourcing strategy, lead negotiations, and secure supply to hit tight build schedules across regions. You will collaborate with legal, finance, engineering, and program teams to shape terms, drive cost reduction, and advance next-generation fiber materials.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or commercial vendor management.
• Experience building demand forecasts and supply plans that support deployment schedules.
• Experience originating and negotiating supply agreements and contract structures, and managing supplier performance.
• Experience defining and executing a category or sourcing strategy across multiple teams or geographies.
• Experience with dual sourcing and supply risk mitigation across global suppliers.
• Experience writing narratives and presenting strategy to senior managers and directors.
• Experience working with legal and finance partners on contract terms, and with engineering, program management, and operations partners on delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own the supply chain strategy for a defined connectivity and fiber material category and manage the commercial relationship with suppliers.
• Build demand forecasts and supply plans that keep programs on schedule and translate deployment demand into material needs across regions.
• Originate and negotiate new contract structures, pricing, capacity commitments, and supply terms; manage supplier performance.
• Lead supplier qualification with engineering and set acceptable guardrails with legal and finance.
• Identify supply risks early and develop mitigation plans; report category health to executives.
