Job summary

Amazon Web Services is seeking a highly motivated Material Supply Chain Manager to own the connectivity and fiber material category end-to-end, from strategy to supplier negotiations and rollout across regions. You will translate deployment demand into supply plans, manage supplier performance, and partner with legal, finance, and engineering to secure favorable terms.

You will influence stakeholders across geographies, drive cost reduction and dual sourcing, and mentor teammates while leading

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or commercial vendor management.
• Experience building demand forecasts and supply plans that support deployment schedules.
• Experience originating and negotiating supply agreements and contract structures, and managing supplier performance.
• Experience defining and executing a category or sourcing strategy across multiple teams or geographies.
• Experience with dual sourcing and supply risk mitigation across global suppliers.
• Experience writing narratives and presenting strategy to senior managers and directors.

Responsibilities

• Own the supply chain strategy for a defined connectivity and fiber material category and carry the commercial relationship with the suppliers.
• Build the demand forecast and supply plan that keeps programs on schedule across regions.
• Originate and negotiate new contract structures, pricing, capacity commitments, and supply terms; manage supplier performance.
• Partner with legal and finance to set guardrails and assess terms independently.
• Lead the qualification of new suppliers and materials with engineering.
• Drive cost reduction and dual sourcing initiatives while mentoring others on the team.
