Job summary

Corning is seeking a seasoned project leadership professional to plan, scope, coordinate, and control complex Optical Fiber and Cable manufacturing projects worldwide. You will guide engineering analysis, modeling, and cost-effective solutions, acting as the principal lead on facilities projects with cross-functional teams.

You will manage scheduling, resource coordination, and direct engineering personnel to meet objectives while communicating plans and results to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering or similar.
• 10+ years of project management experience for large teams and facilities.
• Willingness to travel 25–50% and possibly international travel.

Responsibilities

• Propose, plan (scope), and implement projects with engineering analysis and modeling.
• Lead major process-improvement projects to reduce costs or improve quality.
• Develop staffing requirements and coordinate resources across projects.
• Direct activities of other engineers on projects.
• Provide technical leadership on facilities projects and project management across disciplines.
