Job summary

BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. is seeking a GEO Operations Manager to lead day-to-day external manufacturing operations within the TOPS group.

You will oversee CMOs for biologics or small molecules, ensuring on-time, compliant production for clinical and commercial products. The role requires strong leadership in regulated environments, cross-functional collaboration, and experience with CAPA, FMEA, and RCA tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years leadership experience in Operations, Supply Chain or Quality.
• BS/BA degree; life sciences, business, or supply chain management.

Responsibilities

• Execute production plans with CMOs to ensure uninterrupted clinical & commercial supply.
• Manage CMO meeting schedules with cross functional teams to foster collaboration.
• Identify supply constraints and negotiate/resolve with CMOs to meet the supply plan.
• Handle escalations and communications within GEO and the process team from an operations perspective.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure uninterrupted product supply across all areas.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Coordinate material movement between CMO sites with internal partners.
• Attend CMOs to monitor production campaigns and learn processing steps at CMOs.
• Maintain visual metrics/dashboards for GEO oversight and performance.
