Job summary

BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. is seeking a GEO Operations Manager to lead day-to-day external manufacturing operations within the TOPS group.

You will oversee CMOs for biologics or small molecules, ensuring on-time, compliant production for clinical and commercial products. The role requires strong leadership in regulated environments, cross-functional collaboration, and experience with CAPA, FMEA, and RCA tools.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years leadership experience in Operations, Supply Chain or Quality.
BS/BA degree; life sciences, business, or supply chain management.

Responsibilities

Execute production plans with CMOs to ensure uninterrupted clinical & commercial supply.
Manage CMO meeting schedules with cross functional teams to foster collaboration.
Identify supply constraints and negotiate/resolve with CMOs to meet the supply plan.
Handle escalations and communications within GEO and the process team from an operations perspective.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure uninterrupted product supply across all areas.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions as needed.
Coordinate material movement between CMO sites with internal partners.
Attend CMOs to monitor production campaigns and learn processing steps at CMOs.
Maintain visual metrics/dashboards for GEO oversight and performance.
