Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking an External Executive Communications Manager to support the CMCO. The role focuses on shaping the external voice, elevating CMCO’s visibility, and aligning messaging with the brand and strategy.

The candidate will lead thought leadership, external engagements, and executive content while collaborating with the CMCO team. Strong writing, editing, and strategic counsel are essential, with 7+ years in executive communications and willingness to work 2–3 days

Qualifications

• Senior communications expertise counseling senior leaders directly.
• Exceptional writing, editing and presentation skills.
• Ability to synthesize complex information into a clear point of view.
• Good judgement and discretion with sensitive or confidential information.
• Excellent organisational skills and project management.
• Based in or willing to relocate to San Jose, CA, and able to work 2–3 days per week in an HPE office.
• Typically, 7+ years of managing Executive communications.

Responsibilities

• Thought Leadership: Develop platforms aligned to CMCO priorities and translate strategy into differentiated viewpoints.
• External Visibility: Secure opportunities to raise CMCO's presence at events, media engagements, and forums.
• Executive Content Development: Create speeches, briefs, and bylines reflecting CMCO voice.
• Social Media: Lead CMCO social strategy to promote brand and leadership.
• Strategic Counsel: Advise on messaging, stakeholders, and risk for broader goals.
• Reputation and Narrative: Align external messaging with corporate strategy and brand.
• Measurement and Optimization: Define metrics and improve visibility and impact.
