Job summary

Becton, Dickinson and Company is seeking a transportation planner to manage export shipments, coordinate with global teams, and monitor performance against regulatory requirements. You will resolve discrepancies, optimize delivery in SAP/TMS, and support training for customer service staff.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of six years in export/logistics, with strong ERP/EDI experience in a FDA-regulated environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent international/export experience considered.
Minimum 6 years of experience in export/logistics roles, including FDA-regulated industries.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP/ECC/GTS/JDE) and EDI transactions.
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

Manage export shipments from distribution centers for assigned regions, ensuring timeliness.
Collaborate with WW Business, Regions and Carriers to improve transit efficiency.
Communicate status, product availability, credit and regulatory information to customers and planners.
Coordinate with supply chain, warehouses, traffic and other departments to ship orders on time.
Ensure export procedures are followed as designed by plants, 3PLs, and logistics providers.
Plan, coordinate, and optimize deliveries in SAP/TMS; troubleshoot EDI transactions.
Monitor KPIs and GLPs for on-time performance and daily SAP reports.
Provide training to Customer Service Representatives and Specialists.
