Job summary

W. L. Gore & Associates is seeking an experienced Export Control Specialist to strengthen our internal compliance program and navigate global export controls and sanctions.

The role focuses on monitoring US export control and related regulations, assessing impact on Gore’s businesses, and partnering across units to ensure compliance in global and defense markets. This position will be located at Gore’s Newark, Delaware facility with a hybrid work arrangement, and requires collaboration with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, compliance or 7+ years of equivalent experience.
• 3 years of demonstrated export control experience with ITAR, EAR and OFAC knowledge.
• Ability to analyze regulations, assess impact, and provide guidance.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders and influence decisions.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Partner with global functions to integrate export control requirements and mitigate risk.
• Assess export controls and sanctions risk; conduct formal assessments.
• Interpret export control regulations and communicate requirements.
• Establish IT and process controls for export compliance and monitor effectiveness.
• Provide export control classifications and prepare CCATS/CJ applications.
• Apply for export licenses and interface with US regulators as needed.
• Respond to customer requests for export controls and sanctions compliance.
• Resolve export holds and screening results to support operations.
• Conduct export control due diligence vetting and collaborate with regional experts.
