Job summary

Sims Metal, a global leader in metal recycling, seeks an Export Booking Specialist to coordinate international shipment bookings from booking to departure. You will liaise with yards, carriers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to secure space and ensure documentation accuracy.

Responsibilities include managing export documentation (invoices, packing lists, origin certificates), monitoring vessel schedules, and maintaining records in logistics systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in export logistics or international shipping.
• Strong understanding of INCOTERMS and export regulations.
• Proficiency with booking portals and logistics software.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate export bookings with ocean carriers based on sales/customer requirements.
• Prepare and verify export documentation (invoices, packing lists, origin certificates, AWB).
• Monitor vessel schedules, space availability, and perform schedule adjustments as needed.
• Track shipment milestones and update internal teams on status.
