Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is hiring a Sponsored and Exchange Program Coordinator to manage immigration processes, oversee student information systems, and provide expert guidance for international sponsored and exchange students. You will collaborate with ISSS leadership and supervise a graduate assistant within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and five years of professional experience working with international students in a higher education environment.
• Experience working with and advising F-1 international students and J-1 exchange visitors.
• Demonstrated ability to implement creative solutions and take initiative while working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage application and immigration processes as DHS Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) for sponsored and exchange international students.
• Oversee critical student information systems, ensuring data integrity, alert management, and cross-system synchronization with strict adherence to University and federal regulations.
• Develop integrated support frameworks addressing sponsored/exchange student needs with broader international student services.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop graduate assistant for the student advising team.
• Collaborate with ISSS leadership to ensure interpretation of immigration regulations and university policies.
• Serve as primary resource for challenging exchange and sponsored student questions.
