Job summary

Waymo LLC is seeking an experienced operations leader to drive readiness for major events across the Global Operations Center, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure safety and resilience. You will deliver executive briefings and craft proactive playbooks to mitigate risks before events.

You will also lead internal planning with Demand Operations, coordinate with government partners, and build enduring municipal relationships to align autonomous routing with public plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in operations or related fields.
• 10+ years in high-impact operations management, urban transit planning, emergency management, or large-scale event operations.
• Proven collaboration with public-sector executives, transportation authorities, and municipal leadership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for executive briefings and presentations.
• Experience partnering with Product, Public Affairs, and Mapping teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive Global Operations Center (GOC) Readiness for Major Events with cross-functional coordination.
• Deliver executive communications and structured readiness briefings before and during events.
• Develop, audit, and implement playbooks, risk mitigation plans, and preventative actions.
• Lead internal planning and municipal liaison with Demand Operations and Market Leads.
• Cultivate municipal and public sector partnerships to align autonomous routing with city plans.
• Establish post-event retrospectives to mature playbooks and tooling.
