Job summary

Harvard University’s Center for International Development (CID) at the John F. Kennedy School seeks an Events Manager to lead strategy, design, and execution of CID’s events in Cambridge and globally.

The role drives program content, speaker curation, and engagement with staff, fellows, donors, and partners. The position requires independent work in a fast-paced environment, with in-person work at CID offices during the academic year and flexibility in summer.

Qualifications

• BA/BS and a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in event management or related field.
• Experience or understanding of international development sector is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive annual events strategy.
• Lead budgeting, stakeholder engagement and partnerships for CID events.
• Manage logistics for conferences, workshops, and hybrid/virtual events.
• Coordinate communications and promotions across Harvard channels.
