Job summary

Harvard Kennedy School seeks a Senior Events Manager for the Center for International Development (CID) to lead strategy, design, and execution of CID’s public-facing events in Cambridge and globally.

This role drives the annual events calendar, budgets, and partnerships, while coordinating with CID leadership and the broader Harvard network to deliver high-impact conferences, seminars, and strategic convenings for staff, fellows, students, alumni, and practitioners.

Qualifications

• BA/BS and a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in event management, program management, higher education administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and development of CID's annual events portfolio and conferences.
• Oversee budgets, contracts, and vendor management for CID events.
• Coordinate communications, marketing materials, and post-event follow-up.
• Manage hybrid and on-site event operations including venue, travel, and AV logistics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Harvard and international partners.
