Job summary

Harvard University CID in Cambridge, MA, seeks a Senior Events Manager to lead strategy, design, and execution of CID’s public-facing events worldwide. You will own the annual event portfolio and drive exceptional experiences that strengthen CID's global engagement.

The role requires collaboration with faculty and leadership, budget management, and hybrid delivery skills, plus strong English, organization, and multi-stakeholder event experience.

Qualifications

• BA/BS and at least 5 years of professional experience in event management, program management, higher education administration, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, International Development or related field preferred.
• Masters degree is preferred in Economics, Public Policy, International Development, or related field requiring substantial quantitative coursework.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a comprehensive annual events strategy that advances CID's mission and engagement.
• Lead budgeting, financial stewardship, and resource allocation for events.
• Design and deliver CID's event portfolio, including GEM and regional programs.
• Identify strategic partnerships and opportunities for external speaking engagements.
• Coordinate communications and post-event materials, manage registrations (Salesforce).
• Oversee hybrid and virtual programming and on-site execution.
• Operate in a fast-paced, detail-oriented team environment.
