Job summary

American Century Investments is seeking a Trader for the Global Equity Trading desk. The role entails executing orders in global equities, ETFs, and related derivatives, with both algorithmic and high-touch approaches.

You will coordinate with investment teams, monitor execution quality, and help enhance trading tools and metrics. The position is hybrid and based in Kansas City, MO, with the ability to work across markets and communicate clearly with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• 1+ years of trading experience at an asset manager, hedge fund, bank, or similar.
• Ability to manage multiple orders for equities and derivatives.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg, OMS and EMS platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute orders in client portfolios globally (US, Canada, LATAM) and in ETFs/derivatives.
• Trade electronically using algorithmic strategies or high-touch methods.
• Coordinate with investment teams and capital markets participation.
• Develop and enhance trading tools, metrics, and internal reports.
• Collaborate with team members and management to improve execution quality.
