Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Design Engineer to provide engineering services and support for global dealer systems.

You will design, upgrade and install equipment, collaborating with the Technical Services Group and Equipment Assembly teams to improve reliability and uptime for franchised dealers. Responsibilities include developing new equipment, maintaining legacy designs, documenting with AutoCAD/Creo, and driving cost-reduction initiatives while traveling domestically

Qualifications

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

Design and develop new equipment for franchised dealers.
Maintain current and legacy machine designs with Engineering Change Orders.
Document machine designs using AutoCAD and Creo; manage revision history.
Ensure standardization of mechanical designs across equipment lifecycle.
Identify new technology to keep equipment leading the industry in quality and efficiency.
Plan, organize, and control small-scale projects with cost, schedule and functionality goals.
Visit manufacturing plants and dealers to study processes and liaison with suppliers.
Provide on-site support and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
