Job summary

CB&I is seeking a Senior Principal Technology Specialist – Senior Network Engineer to lead strategic network and security initiatives across the enterprise. You will architect, secure, and scale data center networks, firewalls, and cloud environments while guiding project resources and collaborating with Global IT, engineering, and operations teams.

The role emphasizes designing resilient infrastructure, implementing advanced security controls, and mentoring staff to ensure continual improvement

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/CE/MIS or related field.
15+ years LAN/WAN, data center network, routing, switching experience preferred.
8+ years Palo Alto or Cisco firewall experience with policy/configuration work.
4+ years cloud network and infrastructure technologies experience.
Certifications such as CCNP Enterprise/Security, PCNSE, MS Azure Network, or Network+ encouraged.
Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining global network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a strategic vision for enterprise networks, security perimeters, and telecom environments.
Design, configure, implement, and maintain secure, scalable network infrastructure, firewalls, cloud, and third-party integrations.
Collaborate with IT teams and third parties to gather requirements and implement technologies across the organization.
Execute network and security initiatives to securely manage data traffic and access.
Engineer, deploy, and operate monitoring tools for visibility and control.
Analyze network performance data and optimize bandwidth, throughput, and response times.
Design preventive maintenance and lifecycle management techniques.
Implement integration services with IAM, cloud services, WAF, DNS, SaaS, and third-party systems.
Adapt security frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO, CSA) to enhance cybersecurity.
Develop robust policies and runbooks for network and security domains.
Mentor global IT staff and provide advanced problem-solving support.
Collaborate with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity stakeholders on DR plans.
