Job summary

Fortrea is seeking a Director, Enterprise Communication to lead the enterprise-wide communications function, translating complex business topics into clear messaging for global audiences. You will partner with senior leaders, stakeholders, and Corporate Communications to shape strategies, messaging, and execution across the organization.

The role requires exceptional writing, strategic planning, executive presence, and the ability to manage sensitive information in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in communications or related field.
• Exceptional writing, editing, messaging and storytelling for executive audiences.
• Ability to advise senior leaders, influence stakeholders, and manage ambiguity under tight timelines.
• Strong project management across global teams and multiple priorities.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, intranet platforms, content planning tools, and measurement approaches.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to support content development while maintaining quality and brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead enterprise communication strategies aligned with Fortrea’s priorities.
• Advise senior leaders on messaging, stakeholder engagement, sequencing, tone, and channels.
• Create executive-ready communications: press releases, leadership messages, talking points, scripts, presentations, and Q&A documents.
• Plan communications for enterprise programs, changes, and culture initiatives.
• Coordinate with cross-functional partners to ensure messaging is accurate and timely.
• Manage calendars, approvals, and measurement approaches to improve visibility and impact.
