Job summary

Freeman+Leonard is seeking a Director of Communications for a global B2B technology client. This senior leader will shape the corporate narrative, strengthen reputation, and align internal and external messaging with strategic priorities.

You will guide executive communications, media relations, employee communications, and thought leadership, while hands-on executing in a fast-moving environment and partnering with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive communications experience across internal, external, and/or corporate communications.
• Experience leading enterprise-level or global communications programs within a B2B environment.
• Demonstrated ability to counsel, influence, and partner with senior executives.
• Strong executive presence, judgment, and discretion when handling sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Own integrated communications strategy and annual plan.
• Partner with senior leadership to define corporate narratives for major initiatives.
• Lead executive communications, including talking points, speeches, town halls, and Q&As.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives.
• Oversee employee communications programs and channels.
• Develop communications to strengthen employee alignment and culture.
• Plan external communications including media relations and press materials.
• Build and manage an editorial calendar and governance processes.
• Identify thought-leadership opportunities and prepare spokespeople.
• Lead crisis communications in coordination with leadership.
• Establish KPIs and use data to improve programs.
