Job summary

Soap Creek Resources is seeking a Senior Software Architect to shape the enterprise software platform and drive a multi-year architectural roadmap. You will partner with Engineering, Product, and Technology leadership to design scalable, cloud-native solutions and set the strategic technical direction globally.

You will lead modernization efforts, evaluate AI-assisted development, and emphasize security, performance, and maintainability while mentoring engineers and collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of software engineering and architecture experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Proven success designing and evolving large-scale, distributed, cloud-based enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of modern architecture, cloud platforms, APIs, integration patterns, and data technologies.
• Experience leading modernization or architectural transformation initiatives.
• Ability to connect business strategy with technical architecture and execution.
• Proven ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams without direct authority.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience mentoring engineers and technical leaders.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a multi-year architectural roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Guide modernization of complex enterprise platforms, including cloud-native architectures and APIs.
• Partner with senior leadership to make strategic architecture decisions.
• Evaluate AI-assisted development and emerging technologies to improve productivity.
• Design for scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and improve platform capabilities.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate across teams to ensure alignment.
• Translate business needs into practical technical solutions while balancing cost and risk.
