Job summary

Newly Weds Foods seeks a Global Engineering Project Manager to lead capital projects across international locations, partnering with executive leadership and mentoring engineers to advance innovation and efficiency.

On-site 5 days a week in the Chicago area, the role oversees multi-million-dollar initiatives, drives standardization, OT infrastructure, and regulatory compliance while collaborating across functions to deliver results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical).
• Travel up to 60% domestically and internationally.
• 12+ years of progressive project engineering and capital project management in food manufacturing.
• Proficiency in CAD software, Project Management software, and Microsoft 365.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, multi-time-zone environment.
• Strong technical acumen in factory automation, process, safety & compliance.
• Financial proficiency in cost forecasting, negotiations, scope definition, and budget monitoring.
• Fundamental understanding of OT environments, ICS, MES, and Industry 4.0.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication.
• Experience in food manufacturing, especially baking, dry blending, sauces, dressings and condiments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end international capital projects across multiple facilities.
• Develop scope, budgets, cost estimates and bid documents; manage vendor proposals.
• Oversee design, development, installation, start-up and handover of projects.
• Coordinate equipment deliveries, scheduling, and invoicing with vendors.
• Support engineering capability development across regional teams.
• Identify opportunities for standardization and equipment harmonization.
• Drive best practices across global manufacturing network and OT infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, OSHA, EPA, BRCGS, CE and other regulations.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, R&D, IT, Quality, Safety and Legal.
• Coordinate field installation, start-up, commissioning, and training.
• Develop SOPs and work instructions for new equipment and processes.
