Hunter Recruiting is seeking a Project Manager to lead engineering and capital equipment projects from kickoff through closeout in the St. Louis area.

You will serve as the primary liaison for customers and vendors, coordinating cross-functional teams to meet scope, budget, and schedule requirements. The role requires 5–10 years of project management experience in engineering or capital projects, with strong skills in planning, risk management, and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5–10 years of project management experience in engineering, industrial equipment, or capital projects.
• Experience in managing industrial fabrication or custom-engineered equipment projects.
• P.E. license is preferred but not required.
• Strong scheduling, budgeting, cost control, risk management, and contract administration skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of engineering and equipment projects from kickoff to closeout.
• Serve as primary contact for customers and vendors.
• Develop and implement project execution plans, schedules, and risk strategies.
• Coordinate cross-functional engineering teams and run regular project meetings.
• Monitor scope, schedule, budget, and performance to ensure delivery.
• Prepare monthly project reports and present updates to leadership.
• Identify and negotiate change orders affecting cost and schedule.
• Travel as required to support execution, meetings, and fabrication oversight.
