Job summary

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence in North Kingstown, RI is seeking an International Engineering Intern for a summer term with an upcoming placement in Hexagon Germany or Hexagon Italy as part of a year abroad. The program runs across two stages: a summer in Rhode Island with engineering teams, followed by an international assignment aligned with IEP requirements.

The intern will work with systems, mechanical and manufacturing engineering groups, supporting production, design and assembly work

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Systems or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Preferably URI International Engineering Program (IEP) for German or Italian.
• At least two years of degree enrollment.
• Proficient in MS Office and in process writing/documentation.
• Able to work 40 hours per week during summer.

Responsibilities

• Systems and mechanical engineering topics: support projects, mentor guidance, configure measuring systems, create layouts or software tools, program in measurement host software, troubleshoot multidisciplinary systems, and integrate new products.
• Manufacturing engineering topics: write work instructions and timing, support continuous improvement, analyze assembly methods, and design/ fabricate jigs and tools.
