Job summary

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence in North Kingstown, RI offers an Application Engineer Intern position for Summer 2027. You will support demonstrations, assist with evaluations, and learn from engineers while exploring CAD/CAM, data analysis, and manufacturing software.

This paid internship provides mentorship, exposure to global teams, and potential transition to a full-time engineer role after graduation; expected graduation December 2027 or May/June 2028.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing an engineering degree with expected graduation Dec 2027 or May/June 2028.
• Interest in engineering metrology and manufacturing technologies.
• Foundational knowledge of CAD/CAM tools, programming, or data analysis.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support demonstrations of Hexagon's measurement and manufacturing software to prospective customers.
• Assist with technical evaluations, product testing, and configuration of applications.
• Troubleshoot customer issues under guidance of senior engineers.
• Contribute to preparing training materials, documentation, and technical presentations.
• Shadow engineers in customer engagements to learn how solutions are tailored to industry needs.
• Participate in cross-functional projects bridging R&D, product management, and customer support.
• Learn industry best practices in CAD/CAM, simulation, and data analysis.
