Starkey Laboratories in Eden Prairie, MN, seeks an Employment & Labor Counsel to lead global labor and employment matters, including litigation, compliance, training, and compensation/benefits guidance. The role partners with HR and leadership to drive governance and a compliant, high-performing workplace across the enterprise.

You will counsel on federal and state employment laws, manage investigations, develop policies and training, and collaborate with local and international counsel to

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney with at least four years handling labor and employment issues.
• Experience in both labor and employment counseling.
• Prior law firm experience; in-house experience a plus.
• Experience with international employee populations is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Counsels on Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, NLRA, OFCCP and related laws.
• Advises on compliance and investigates potential violations of the Code of Conduct.
• Supports HR leadership and global governance initiatives.
• Manages severance and employment agreements; restrictive covenants.
• Oversees EEOC charges, labor arbitrations, and state equivalents.
• Develops programs, policies, tools and guidelines.
• Supports complex projects including acquisitions and restructurings.
