Job summary

Nuro is seeking an Assistant General Counsel, Employment, to provide pragmatic day-to-day employment law guidance and help scale a global workforce. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, you’ll partner with People and business leaders to mitigate risk and embed compliant practices across the company.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of combined law firm and in-house employment law experience, with California focus.
• Experience scaling a fast-growing company nationally and internationally is a plus.
• Admission to the California Bar.

Responsibilities

• Head of employment law; own policies, practices, and programs across the employee life-cycle.
• Advise on risk mitigation, compliance, and best practices; manage pre-litigation matters.
• Coordinate outside counsel and support internal investigations and lawsuits.
• Partner with People/Operations to scale non-exempt workforce and mobility globally.
