Job summary

World Vision is seeking an experienced Operations Director to oversee emergency response programs across our global portfolio. You will lead the response operations team and work within the Response Leadership Team to drive strategy and ensure timely, effective delivery of projects in pursuit of Child Well-Being.

You will coordinate systems, infrastructure, partnerships and staff welfare, engage external partners, and position World Vision for sustainable impact in crisis contexts.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience with International NGOs in emergency relief, rehabilitation and transition programming.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in humanitarian leadership, international development, business administration, economics, rural development or similar. Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in the implementation of multi-sectoral emergency response projects.
• Excellent decision-making skills and ability to take calculated mitigated risks.
• Experience in leading a multi-cultural team of professionals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation of multi-sectoral emergency response projects.
• Provide overall leadership to the response operations team as part of the Response Leadership Team.
• Lead the implementation of the Response Strategy to promote integration and timely, effective project delivery in pursuit of Child Well-Being.
• Oversee systems, infrastructure, partnerships and capacity building to address security requirements and staff care.
• Spearhead external engagement to position World Vision for sustainment and growth and coordinate with key stakeholders.
