Job summary

World Vision International is seeking a Safeguarding Advisor for an Emergency Response roster. The role focuses on embedding safeguarding across operations, building staff capacity, and guiding risk management during humanitarian responses.

You will work with Response Management to implement policies and ensure survivor-centered safeguarding practices in challenging contexts. The position requires extensive experience in safeguarding, PSEA, and child protection, with strong English communication

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a GBV, Child Protection, Legal, Human Resources or other Child Rights-related field.
5+ years’ experience in overseeing child protection, PSEA, GBV, or safeguarding work – preferably in humanitarian context.
Effective written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

Develop Safeguarding Action Plan for the Response and monitor its implementation.
Lead staff in conducting a Safeguarding Risk Assessment and maintain the Response Risk Register.
Document leadership decisions related to safeguarding risk management and update the Risk Register.
Provide safeguarding training to staff, interns, volunteers and partners on a quarterly basis and ensure capacity building.
Coordinate with PSEA Network to facilitate safeguarding collaboration and reporting.
Manage safeguarding incidents according to global protocols and ensure survivor-centred response.
