Job summary

ALSO. is a Silicon Valley electric mobility company seeking a Global Commodity Manager for EE & Semiconductors.

You will own the electronics and silicon supply base from concept to mass production, collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing, and NPI to secure long-term value with suppliers. Based in Palo Alto, you will build sourcing strategies, manage vendor lists, and negotiate agreements while balancing cost, performance, and resilience across the vehicle roadmap.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in global sourcing or commodity management, with semiconductors or complex EE components.
• Direct sourcing experience in CPUs/GPUs/FPGAs/MCUs, DRAM/NAND, sensors, PMICs, and related EE parts.
• BS in Engineering (EE preferred), Supply Chain, or Business Management.
• A track record of landing long-term agreements with global manufacturers.
• Comfortable operating with autonomy and traveling ~25% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute the global sourcing strategy for EE components and semiconductors across the roadmap.
• Own a semiconductor technology roadmap aligned with supplier and industry direction.
• Manage the Approved Vendor List end to end and oversee supplier lifecycle.
• Negotiate Master Purchase Agreements and quality terms for high-priority parts.
• Lead BOM scrubs to mitigate end-of-life risks and bottlenecks with design teams.
• Develop should-cost models to drive down total cost of ownership.
• Monitor market pricing, lead-times, capacity and technology advances to adapt strategy.
• Run supplier reviews and visit sites to improve cost, relationships, or development.
