Job summary

Lonza Group Ltd. is seeking a Business Process Architect – EHS to advance and harmonize EHS and Product Compliance processes across its global network. The role partners with business and IT teams to drive SAP S/4HANA EHS capabilities and supports global deployment across multiple waves.

The successful candidate will act as the process expert for Incident, Task, Inspection, and Risk Management, aligning requirements with SAP capabilities. Travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in EHS and/or Product Compliance within pharma or life sciences industries.
• Proven experience implementing and optimizing EHS processes in SAP environments, including SAP S/4HANA.
• Hands-on experience with full lifecycle SAP implementations from design to go-live.
• Strong knowledge of EHS and Product Compliance processes.
• Experience with GLM; Environment Management and Sustainability Control Tower preferred.
• Professional EHS certifications (CSP, CIH, CHMM, or similar) are a plus.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Advancing and harmonizing EHS and Product Compliance processes across Lonza's global network.
• Partner with business and technology teams to implement SAP S/4HANA EHS capabilities.
• Support global deployment of SAP S/4HANA EHS and Product Compliance solutions.
• Act as the business process expert for Incident, Action & Task Management, Inspection & Audit Management, Risk Assessment, and Global Label Management.
• Align business requirements with SAP S/4HANA capabilities.
• Ensure adoption of standardized processes across sites.
• Lead process design, harmonization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop training, documentation, and change management materials.
• Participate in system testing, validation, and go-live readiness.
• Provide expert guidance on EHS regulatory and compliance requirements within SAP-enabled processes.
• Support long-term sustainability and governance post-implementation.
