Job summary

Danaher Corporation is seeking a Global EHS Manager to drive standard work and ensure safety program consistency across multiple sites, including Boulder, CO. The role reports to the Director of EHS and is part of a multinational EHS team, with on-site responsibilities at one of several US locations.

You will lead initiatives to reduce incidents, ensure regulatory alignment, and mentor regional teams to uphold Danaher’s safety standards worldwide.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of leadership in environmental and safety compliance within manufacturing; global operations experience.
  • Proven expertise in implementing standard work.
  • Knowledge of global regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to lead training and investigations.

Job description

Global EHS Manager

Responsible for driving adherence to standard work and ensuring consistent implementation of Environment, Health & Safety programs across global operations. This role delivers measurable impact by reducing incidents and improving compliance through leadership and operational excellence.

This position reports to the Director of EHS and is part of a multi‑site Environment, Health & Safety Team. It is an on‑site role at one of the IDT or Aldevron locations: Coralville, IA; Boulder, CO; Raleigh, NC; Madison, WI; San Diego, CA; or Fargo, ND.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to
  • Drive adherence to standard work across global EHS programs to ensure consistent and effective safety practices.
  • Implement and monitor compliance with EHS policies and procedures, maintaining high standards of safety and regulatory alignment.
  • Lead global initiatives aimed at reducing incidents and improving overall safety performance throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to ensure alignment with global EHS standards and facilitate the sharing of best practices.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to EHS teams worldwide, supporting operational excellence and a proactive safety culture.
The essential requirements of the job include
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of proven leadership in environmental and safety compliance within a manufacturing environment, with a strong track record of driving results and experience in EHS management within global operations.
  • Proven expertise in implementing standard work.
  • Proficiency in EHS management systems and reporting tools and knowledge of global regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to lead training, investigations, and cross‑functional collaboration with clarity and confidence.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and partner with global and regional teams to elevate safety and environmental standards.
Travel, motor‑vehicle record & physical/environmental requirements
  • Ability to travel as required (up to 20%, including overnight stays).
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in
  • Professional certification in EHS or related discipline.
  • Experience with Danaher Business System (DBS) or similar continuous improvement frameworks.

The annual salary range for this role is $114,000 to $130,000. This range may be modified in the future. The role is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay and offers a comprehensive package of benefits, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
