Job summary

Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies seeks a Manager, Global Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) to lead the worldwide EHS governance framework and manage system effectiveness. The role drives policy development, audits, risk management, and leadership reporting with dotted-line site support.

The position requires a Bachelor's in a safety-related field and at least 10 years of experience in EHS, with travel up to 25% and a strong focus on ISO 45001 alignment and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain global EHS standards, policies, procedures, and governance.
• Develop and implement a global EHS management system aligned with ISO 45001.
• Lead EHS audits, assurance programs, and corrective actions.
• Manage EHS metrics, dashboards, and executive reviews.
• Escalate serious incidents and drive root-cause analyses.
• Provide risk visibility to leadership and enable risk-based decisions.
• Develop EHS capability and define competency expectations.
• Coordinate global audits, site assessments, and regulatory inspections.
• Support Sustainability & ESG reporting with EHS data.
