Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Environmental Health & Safety, industrial hygiene, occupational safety, environmental science, engineering, life sciences, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
• At least 18 years of progressively responsible EHS experience, including significant executive-level leadership in the global pharmaceutical industry.
• Demonstrated experience leading EHS for a multinational pharmaceutical company with global strategy, governance, regulatory compliance, audit and executive reporting.
• At least 10 years of people-leadership experience across a matrixed organization.
• Experience opening and integrating international offices or facilities with local compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define the enterprise EHS vision, multi-year roadmap, policies, standards, and operating model for a global pharmaceutical company.
• Lead EHS due diligence and site expansion activities, including design reviews, permitting, and pre-occupancy readiness for new offices worldwide.
• Develop scalable EHS programs for a global workforce across sales, medical affairs, and field teams.
• Integrate EHS risk into enterprise risk management, business planning, and crisis management.
• Maintain a risk-based global compliance framework across safety, environmental protection, and hazardous materials.
• Advise executive leadership and the Board on material risks and regulatory trends.
• Build and develop a high-performing global EHS organization with clear ownership.
