Job summary

The Ford Foundation in New York is seeking a Finance Operations Specialist to manage payment execution, global disbursements, and expense processing. The role requires coordinating domestic and international transfers, payroll, and bank reconciliations in Workday and Concur.

You will contribute to ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely reporting while collaborating with overseas offices and internal partners in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business Administration or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in relevant work experience, including global banking operations and expense management.
• Strong proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently, manage small projects and maintain attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for global collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Validate and initiate ACH, wire transfers (SWIFT), and USD payroll for overseas staff.
• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, including overseas accounts.
• Identify and resolve payment instruction issues, discrepancies, and vendor queries.
• Record daily bank activities, update exchange rates, and prepare GL batches.
• Assist overseas offices with supplier, payroll, and tax questions.
• Review and post Concur expense reports; ensure GL coding accuracy.
