Job summary

Optum is seeking a senior leader to oversee a global training and quality organization supporting utilization management across a large healthcare environment. You will lead a team of about 12 professionals across onshore and global locations, accountable for onboarding, education, quality assurance, and process improvement serving 500+ clients.

This role offers remote work within the U.S., with in-office days required for certain locations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of people leadership experience in healthcare
• 3+ years leading training program development or quality assurance
• 3+ years in utilization management operations
• 3+ years knowledge of medical necessity criteria (InterQual & MCG) and denial workflows
• 2+ years leading globally distributed or multi-site teams
• Active M.D., D.O., or RN licensure

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team across onshore and global locations
• Oversee onboarding, education, and quality assurance
• Design and deliver training for new hires and ongoing operational education
• Establish audit dashboards and performance metrics
• Align initiatives with medical necessity guidelines and denial management
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and operations to close knowledge gaps
• Oversee learning platforms and dashboards to maintain high-quality content
• Maintain global standards and client satisfaction across 500+ clients
