Job summary

Optum is seeking a Director of Product on the Quality Optimization team within the Value Connect Platform. You will drive product strategy and execution to enable success in NCQA Health Plan Ratings, CMS Stars, MSSP, QRS, and related quality programs.

The role emphasizes AI-enabled capabilities, portfolio management, and cross-functional leadership. Remote-friendly position with some in-office requirements for certain locations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in healthcare, healthcare tech, or technology sectors.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• 5+ years of product management experience, including owning product strategy, roadmap, and execution.
• 5+ years of HEDIS measures expertise, CMS Stars program excellence, MSSP/ACO REACH or similar quality program.

Responsibilities

• Drive showcase and align on product vision, go-to-market strategy, and technology roadmap with an AI-centric approach.
• Manage the capabilities across the entire product development life cycle.
• Optimize ongoing product performance, metrics, enhancements, financial health, and investment decisions as appropriate.
• Understand and evaluate enterprise-wide assets as portfolio expansions to improve the competitive position and drive customer value.
• Demonstrate systems thinking and proactively construe alternatives.
• Serve as the product champion and SME for business and sales partners.
• Empower, lead, and manage product teams.
• Own go-to-market material updates and support compliance, privacy, and legal product submissions.
