Job summary

New Relic, Inc. is seeking a Director of Strategic Sourcing, Procurement and Travel to lead the enterprise-wide Vendor Management Office and drive high-impact RFx initiatives, negotiations, and supplier performance.

This senior role requires cross-functional collaboration to align procurement with business objectives and cost optimization. You will manage vendor relationships, negotiate strategic contracts, and oversee the Travel and Expense function while supporting spend across the company.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a strategic sourcing management role
• 5+ years leading a team
• 10+ years negotiating software/hardware licenses, SaaS and professional services agreements
• 10+ years in a lead/principal role
• Global Travel & Expense leadership experience
• Excel-based price modelling for sourcing recommendations
• Experience with Coupa, NetSuite, Oracle and JIRA

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
• Sponsor and lead high-complexity RFx initiatives
• Lead complex commercial negotiations across software, SaaS, cloud, hardware, and services
• Own supplier relationships and drive continuous improvement
• Lead Travel and Expense function globally
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies and governance
• Collaborate with Legal, Security, Finance, and Tech leaders
• Drive cost optimization and TCO analyses
• Lead procurement programs aligned to business objectives
• Manage departmental budget and performance metrics
• Build and develop global procurement teams
• Provide executive reporting on procurement outcomes
