Job summary

Chainlink Labs is seeking an experienced Director of Events to lead our global events function and deliver world-class experiences that strengthen the Chainlink brand and accelerate growth.

You will lead a high-performing team and drive the strategy for SmartCon and our presence at major conferences, ensuring events meet brand, regulatory, and business objectives while collaborating across Marketing, Sales, Product, and Leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience leading large-scale events and at least 3 years managing high-performing event teams.
• Proven experience delivering flagship conferences, executive events, product launches, and sponsored industry events in tech/fintech/financial services.
• Ability to develop and execute strategic event programmes that drive measurable business outcomes.
• Experience managing significant event budgets, commercial negotiations, and external agency/vendor relationships.
• Strong people leadership with coaching, developing, and scaling teams.
• Exceptional programme and project management skills for multiple initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management with senior executives and cross-functional influence.
• Strong commercial mindset with measurement of event ROI and business impact.
• Outstanding communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Experience creating premium event experiences for executive audiences or financial institutions is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and mentor a global team of event professionals.
• Define and execute Chainlink's global event strategy aligned to objectives and commercial priorities.
• Own planning and delivery of SmartCon and major industry conferences.
• Deliver executive experiences through customer events, launches, networking, and thought leadership.
• Partner with Marketing, Sales, Product, Finance, Legal, and Procurement for seamless event execution.
• Manage annual event budgets, vendor relationships, and negotiations to maximise impact.
• Establish scalable event planning processes, governance and standards globally.
• Measure success with KPIs, engagement, pipeline influence and executive feedback.
