Job summary

Vantive, a vital organ therapy company, seeks a Global Software Leader for Acute Care devices to define software strategy, lead multi-site teams, and align with regulatory, quality, and clinical functions to deliver roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Electro-mechanical devices and device software engineering.
• Understanding of global regulatory requirements for medical devices; risk and reliability concepts.
• Leading a globally distributed team in a global matrix environment.
• Strong team building and talent management skills.
• Driving product strategy for software in a global business.
• Knowledge of scientific/technical disciplines and related areas (regulatory, quality, product development).
• Recognized as an expert in the functional area.
• Strategic, innovative problem solver with influencing and communication skills.
• Exceptional stakeholder management across Clinical, RA/QA, Systems, Operations, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Own product-line software strategy and roadmaps for device software across acute products.
• Lead global device software teams including managers and technical leaders.
• Define and implement architecture strategy with systems leaders.
• Drive execution plans to deliver roadmaps and releases.
• Communicate vision and strategy aligned with business needs.
• Establish organization structure ensuring accountability and excellence.
• Develop high-performing leaders and succession plans across sites.
• Provide planning leadership for resources and risk management.
• Leverage technology and therapy domain knowledge to drive design realization.
• Manage risk to ensure delivery of business commitments.
• Drive post-market software change management and reliability improvements.
• Embrace agile methods and foster a fail-fast-learn-fast culture.
• Build collaboration across functions and with external partners.
• Maintain awareness of Quality System Regulations and regulatory requirements.
