Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Seattle, WA, is seeking a Director of Network Infrastructure Sourcing and Procurement. Lead a global team and own end-to-end sourcing strategy for networking ASICs, optical components, and OEM equipment to support AWS growth.

You will manage multi-year sourcing plans, mitigate geopolitical risk, and drive supplier partnerships at the highest levels, delivering scalable processes and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of people leadership, or 10+ years of senior leadership experience.
• 6+ years of multi-million dollar contract negotiation experience.
• Experience negotiating with C-level executives, IT, lines of business, procurement, finance and legal stakeholders.
• Experience shaping business strategy for technical products or services for large enterprises or partners.
• Strong written and verbal communication to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute category sourcing strategies across networking silicon, optical components, fiber infrastructure, and switching platforms, aligned with the AWS multi-year growth and technology roadmap.
• Build, develop, and lead a high-performing global organization spanning multiple geographies, with strong leadership depth.
• Own executive-level relationships with strategic suppliers, influencing technology investments, capacity allocation, and roadmaps.
• Negotiate complex commercial agreements including long-term supply agreements and capacity reservations at scale.
• Provide regular updates to VP-level leadership on supply strategy, risk posture, and critical decisions.
• Develop supply diversification and risk mitigation strategies addressing geopolitical exposure and single sources.
• Drive cross-functional alignment with Hardware Engineering, Manufacturing Design Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Capacity Delivery.
• Identify and close critical supply gaps across a portfolio growing at exceptional rates.
• Create scalable data-driven decision frameworks to support rapid portfolio growth.
• Build an inclusive, high-performance team culture and develop the next generation of supply chain leaders.
