Job summary

AFL is seeking a Director of Environmental, Health, Safety & Security to lead EHSS strategy across its manufacturing operations in Duncan, SC and beyond. This role reports to senior manufacturing leadership and focuses on risk identification, critical controls, and continuous improvement across sites.

The incumbent will develop capability, integrate EHSS into project and capital work, and drive governance, audits, and performance metrics to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of progressive EHSS experience at a large or multi-site manufacturing organization.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and implement practical operating requirements.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, environmental compliance, and security principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead the EHSS strategy for AFL's global manufacturing operations and serve as trusted advisor to senior leadership.
• Translate EHSS strategy into practical priorities, plans, standards, and measurable objectives.
• Build and develop the EHSS team, drive risk assessment and incident investigations, and ensure compliant operations.
